Spring Flowers I Freebie

I hope that all of you have had a great week! I attended two volley ball games, 8 basketball games and stayed an extra day for a Brownie meeting last weekend. We are up in the eighties now and it appears will have great weather for this weekend with possibly some rain which we need later next week. I'm off again this weekend to "Wild Adventure" in Valdosta, GA for a Brownie Troop event on Saturday. Today I need to pickup Jordan by 3pm at afterschool since he will be going over to Billy Donovan's (Gator Basketball Coach) house to practice his AAAU traveling basketball practice. Just another busy weekend.

I have some flowers for you today sort of like forget me nots. Great for cardmaking. Now remember next Saturday is National Scrapbooking Day so I'll have some freebies for you next week. Be on the lookout at Digiscrapdepot, Scrap Gratuit, Digifree and Creative Busy Hands.

Frayed Easter Mats Freebie

So are you all making plans for Easter Sunday? I'll be off to Grandma Judi's for the holiday. We share holidays in our family since my Daughter's husband has an extended family. My contribution will be desserts and deviled eggs. I'll be making 2dozen decorated cupcakes and of course a printable cupcake decoration. The kids just love cupcakes. I'll make a breakfast bread and there has been a request for brownies. My daughter put the kibosh on the homemade chocolate peanut butter balls since the kids bounce off the walls after eating them. Hopefully it will be warm enough for the kids to swim in Judi's pool. It got down to 4o Tuesday night!

I've signed up for Atomic Cupcake's action club. Here are some mats that I made with one of the actions. I scanned an old place mat then used an action on them and filters. I think they came out pretty cute.

Yesterday was really busy with the basketball tournaments. I put 400 miles on the car going to three different locations. The 14 yr old was 2n2 and the 11 yr old was 3n1. I don't totally understand why the 11 yr old didn't make it to Sunday's games but it has something to do with a point differential on winning games.

I just wanted to thank everyone that have been leaving comments. I enjoy reading them. Glad to see some scrappers back to the blog! Now with Spring and the weather changing I can understand that everyone wants to be outside. It was 90 here yesterday and some of the gyms air conditioning left a little to be desired.

Today we have Easter Baskets and Grass as the download in pretty pastels. One for a girl and one for a boy... Enjoy!

I hope that all of you have had a wonderful weekend!

The boys didn't win any trophies with the tournaments this weekend but that comes with the territory. A valuable lesson as in life. You just don't win "all the time."

I'm going to make it short tonight. I'll be having a Buy 1 Get 1 Free sale in the Niche this week. I still have to package and up load about 20 new products. I'm starting a "Commercial Use" line for Photoshop custom shapes, brushes, styles and PSD-Png templates. I have some pretty cute templates for St. Pat's Day and Easter: Big leprechaun, Little Leprechaun with a frame, Easter Bunny, Easter bunny with a sign, Easter bonnet, Easter Baby chicks, Easter ducks and a lamb. Even though I wasn't cruising the Internet I was busy using the warp tool to create irregular shapes. I was really shocked how easy it was after the fifth template. It is time consuming though. Designers earn their pay on the layered PSD files. After awhile though you have created some unique shapes for future use. So stay tuned during this daily freebie of the Cosmo Kate album.

Hello to everyone! I just got busy again . On the other hand I didn't have internet for five days. The electric company upgraded our post wiring and somehow cut some telephone cables in the process. I'm glad February came to a completion! So many stange little annoyances that had to be completed. I did get my tax return completed.

I went to Gainesville twice for various activities: Valentine's Party for Morgan, running the kids around one day they were off from school, many many basketball games. All three of the Grandchildren should be proud! Morgan's team won the basketball championship for her age group at the Girl's Club. Jordan's team was number 1 for his age group at the Boy's Club. Austin's Junior High Team made it to the semi-finals for the County. Now Morgan registered for Volley ball and the two boys are on the Gainesville Stampede AAU traveling basketball teams for their age groups. Kim and her family are in Port Charlotte this weekend for both boys tournaments.

March has started out with a bang! I have a leak in the roof and a problem with my kitchen sink drain. Monday the roof will get fixed hopefully. Monday I need to call a plumber for the sink drain. Oh well that's life! We still have a roof over our head, Rick has a job, we have food to eat and health insurance. Knowing what is going on in the world today I'd say I should count my blessings. On that note let's get on to the freebie...

Cute as a Bug Sampler

I really enjoyed having my Daughter's Family for the night. Even with the chilly temperatures everyone enjoyed their family trip to Disney for Morgan's birthday. When they left in the morning it was only 34 here. Gradually it warmed up to 52 by 3 PM. Kim was impressed with the way Disney handled the "Birthday Promotion." Morgan was given a badge that entitled her to some perks. Kim said she was told Happy Birthday by at least 50 personnel while at the park. I was whipped so I never got everything packaged and uploaded yesterday.

August 2009 Calendar Freebie

Greetings from freezing Florida! Well it got down to 34 last night... Tonight it's suppose to be 28! Our cold is a damp wet cold so it goes right through you. I'm finally beginning to feel better. I've been busy detoxing the house and getting ready for my company due to arrive tonight. Morgan's birthday is tomorrow and Disney is offering a "special" for Birthday's. The entire family will be here tonight. This is the first time in about 8 years the entire family is going to Disney. They are also running a Florida resident special.

I'll be finishing up a kit tomorrow while everyone is at Disney. It is called "cute as a bug" girly and cute. The color palette is in pinks, creams and browns. I'll put a sampler on the blog. I just need to upload everything and parcel the elements.

Finally back from Gainesville... My cold put me down for 4 days but I still attended (2) Basketball games and (2) practices. My Granddaughter tried to take care of Grandma but two of the Grandchildren were home from school with the same virus on Thursday. Grandma also made some invitations for Morgan's Birthday Party Sleepover. All in all even with the virus, nosebleeds. etc. I had a nice visit with my daughter and the kids. Joey got back from the conference Wednesday night. The weather has been CRAZY here! Yesterday it was 87 late afternoon in Orlando and tonight it is going down to possible freezing. North Florida is having a hard freeze until 9 AM.

And you wonder why people get sick....

Purple Lovers Valentine Embellishments Freebie

I'm still in Gainesville until tomorrow... There have been basketball games, practices, Girl Scout meetings, registration for High School for next year and overnight family members from a 90th birthday celebration. These three days continue to be action packed! My son-in-law will be home later tonight from his conference. Yesterday my nose started dripping and hasn't stopped. My husband had this virus for two weeks. Thanks Rick! LOL...Oh well. I just hope I don't give it to Kim's kids... Need to get some Lysol and wipe door knobs, phones, computer, etc before I leave...

Anyhow I tried to find something on my portable hard drive and found these purple valentine embellishments that I created last year. The quality doesn't meet my standards now but someone might like them before I delete them... The embellishments have a glass finish.

February 2009 Desktop Calendar

I've finally uploaded the desktop calendar for February in 4 different size resolutions: 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x800 and 1680x1024. If you need to you can re size these to fit your monitor before you add your picture behind the desktop and save as a jpg. Depending on what version of windows you are using just right click on an empty spot of your desktop and click on properties or personalize to see what resolution your monitor is set for in pixels. Just write it down and select the template. Add your picture save somewhere you know on your hard drive as a jpg. Then do the right click again on the desktop choose properties or personalize, choose new background. At this point you may need to use browse depending on where you saved your file. Click on it and your done! Easy peasie...

I hope that you all had a great weekend. I'll be planning another trip to Gainesville soon. Morgan's birthday is February 5th. I think she wants to go to Disney instead of having a birthday party this year. Her Girl Scout troop was suppose to have a camp out this weekend but it was below freezing in North Florida last night. Today it only got to 68 at 2PM here in Orlando. I know all you Canadians and Northerners are laughing your butts off reading this but below freezing in Florida is not good especially if you like orange juice. LOL!

Tomorrow I'll have a freebie for you that is new for me to create. A desktop calendar for February. I created it in four resolutions but not sure if I totally like the way it turned out. I think I may need to decrease the size of my papers before I use the templates. I still need to package and upload.

Hope you all had a fantastic Saturday! Thank You for your comments and clicking on Best Scrap Freebies and Digiscrapstores Topsites! While all of you were back to work this week, I was busy learning how to make .csh files for Photoshop, trimming my images and also performing conversions on some of my image files. I have quite a few image collections to package as custom shapes for the next holidays. The packages will include the Photoshop custom shape file as well as individual pngs. Then I went off on a tangent using the warp tool to create layers for an animal collection that I'm working on in PSD format.

Anyhow enjoy your weekend! I've never given the dimensions on this calendar collection. The dimensions are 81/2 x 11.

Well tonight the holidays will be officially over... Sometimes we feel relieved however I enjoy the three month period since we seem to all have more family gatherings, special events for the children, cooking, baking and wrapping.

I hope that all of you "Enjoyed" the holidays with your family.

As you can see the blog has a new look. I bet you can't tell I love penguins. In Florida there is no snow but I still enjoy snowmen, snowy scenes and these little guys. Holiday Frames

Well tonight you are going to receive "Holiday Frames" that co-ordinate with the Christmas Trees and Word Art! Now I tried to design these so that you can use them horizontal or vertical. Then if you "flip" them in your software you can have the snowflakes on either right or left. Since all of these embellishments have so much glitz, I suggest a solid textured paper. However who knows, if I ever complete my Christmas Around the World Kit you might even get some papers.

Tonight I have a little treat for you! A "Create-A-Tree" template in png format and a layered PSD file. This was created in Photoshop CS3 I don't know if it will work in Elements 6.0. Hopefully someone can use the file. Also I've included 4 decorated Christmas Trees. Yes.. we have a purple one for "you" purple lovers. Sharon I hope that you like it!
I started on the brag book calendar... completed January... went to do the credits and the dang calendars were for personal use only. So I said the heck with it and created my own calendar templates from scratch with a whimsical font that I like better anyway.

A Belated Thanksgiving & Two Freebies

You probably thought that I had fallen off the face of the earth but just got plain Busyyyyyyy.... So much news!!!

I sincerely hope that you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving!

Take a peek below to see all my activities.

I attended my Granddaughter's Thanksgiving feast at her school the Friday before Thanksgiving. Friday and Saturday I went to two All Star games where Jordan was playing football. The team WON!!!! both games. I then returned home and thoroughly cleaned and decorated the house for five days before Thanksgiving. I had thirteen people for Thanksgiving dinner. A lot of cooking was going on here. My daughter's family (5) stayed overnight. Kim & Joey decided to go "Black Friday" shopping at 4 AM and returned at 1 PM. Grandma cooked breakfast and lunch for the kids. We played games on the Wii for two hours. Morgan had the High School Musical Disney Wii. Morgan, Jordan and I sang songs all morning! Austin remained on My Space and played games on the Internet. Kim & Joey purchased a 50 inch TV at Best Buy for a sweet deal and I did not feel right having them keep that TV in their Suburban overnight in my driveway so I told them to go ahead and go home but their was another problem. They had other "stuff" in the car and so we filled my trunk. Still a problem not enough room with the dog for five people. So I drove Kim & Morgan back to Gainesville Friday afternoon. Joey and the boys left an hour earlier than we did so Joey called Cox on the way back and needed a new box for the HD TV. By the time Kim, Morgan and I arrived Joey had already gotten the box from Cox cable! TV's are definitely a "guy thing". Kim & I get that excited over new furniture. Ha! Any how it was a delight to see the boys & Dad get so excited about the new HD TV. By 9 PM all the furniture was rearranged in the family room and the TV hooked up with the new box! Then the guys still continued to watch football until 10PM. I needed to get back Saturday after another "All Star Football Game" Jordan was playing on.

Now blogger and Niche news... I'm now a part of the "Digi Scrap Stores". You'll see the blinkie above "Best Scrap Freebies". Go ahead and click on both for me please. I'm going to list freebies and sales in their forum.

Alpha Notes Y-Z Freebie Final Day

Thank you for your prayers! Hanna moved Eastward and we won't have to evacuate! Now all we have to deal with is Ike but the weathermen won't know on that one until Saturday. The comments were delightful on the blog and 4shared today. Thank You all for your concern. Several of the gals here in Florida are experiencing the same paranoia as I am. After hurricane Charlie in 2004 I could not live in my home for three months. It took 1 1/2 years to replace damage to my home since construction supplies and contractors were limited. The contractors wanted large jobs not a residence.

My granddaughter called last night and wants me to take her to her Pop Warner football game (She is a cheerleader) on Saturday. Lord willing it won't be cancelled. So Friday I'll be off for Gainesville.

This week I've learned some new techniques in my CS3 that will save me a lot of time. I've made over 100 pattern files and about 40 papers for the holidays. I'm still struggling with what the new freebie will be. I think a brag book and it will be beachy for you to use with your summer pictures. The power went out once while I was trying to upload to 4shared but no rain as of yet...

Thank You for all the comments on 4shared. I do read every one of them. My new email software for Vista isn't installed yet so I still can''t send messages only receive. I'm going to install Outlook 2007 tomorrow and will get caught up on those tomorrow.

Since some scrappers do not have software with selection brushes or magic wands to use the templates that you fill, I decided to make the frames in primary colors for you! Now, no one will stress over the templates. Scrapping is suppose to be Fun!

Just remember all my files "need passwords" that are case sensitive. Just copy the password before you go to 4shared. When 4shared asks for the password, paste it into the field. No errors that way.

I'm finally able to spend time on uploading my files! Guess what you get "Another Freebie"! I'm trying to get caught up on the daily download for August since Tropical Storm Fay hopefully won't interfere after today.

"The School is Cool Badge Album" is considered to be a hybrid project. You can purchase the plastic badges at Staples , Office Max or other office supply stores. You should be able to print out several on an 81/2 x 11 inch piece of photo paper. This item can then be embellished with eyelets, ribbons, yarn, etc. The item is sized just a bit smaller than the badge itself. Each template is 2.50 inches x 3.25 inches. The same size as purchased at other digital scrapping stores. You could also laminate them in a Xyron machine, punch an eyelet, insert a ribbon or yarn and voila done. Have fun with these!!! Grandparents love these albums.

School Word Art Frames Freebie

Greetings from "Sinking" ... I mean "Sunny" Florida!

After 5 days of steady rain, wind gusts up to 48mph and a new leak in my roof, I need "Sun". I have to say I am blessed that we have not had dire problems. Some poor people have 2-3 Feet of water in their homes. Yes, I said "Feet". The St. John's river today started overflowing so now there are even more people that will have water damage. The National guard and FEMA arrived on Wednesday morning.

My daughter didn't have much of anything happen in Gainesville until yesterday. Fay just keeps stalling out due to two high pressure systems.

We have had rain here since Tuesday. Today strong wind gusts and a deluge of rain due to the feeder bands.

Anyhow, I've tired of seeing all the damage on TV. Only thing is we have to constantly watch for anything severe. I also registered for emails from the National Weather Service through Channel 9 a local station.

I have been working on a hybrid badge album for you and also school stuff.

Monday school opened in most counties. Most schools only attended two days this week. They have already selected the three makeup days.

Thank You for all the birthday wishes!!!

I had a wonderful Wednesday night with my Grandchildren. I had homemade cards, decorations, birthday cake from scratch and a buffet dinner. Morgan created a pretty card for me and slipped in a $1 that she had earned from her "lemonade stand"! She said she wished it could be more but it is her college fund and proceeded to show me her stash in a decorative tin. Kids you have to love them!

Thursday the kids got a little rambunctious due to it raining all day. My husband said he thought they would rather be in school. LOL! Today my daughter had a half day due to the "Meet the Teacher" for all three children. She's almost finished with the back to school shopping and went for the school lists this afternoon.

My husband got the okay to go back to work with some limitations on Monday. There was good news and bad news. He is scheduled for two major vascular tests on August 27th. We won't really know the total prognosis until after the tests. I've kept my Community Association license active and need to renew by September 30th. I've got a bunch of CEU credits to finish by then. I'd better get cracking! This old girl may have to go back to work! Arghhh!!! We'll just have to wait and see. There is a need for candidates with this license but with a bad economy the position is VERY stressful since home owners do not like association maintenance fees going up and services cut.

A little bit about me:
1. I love to spend time with my Grandchildren. Surrounding yourself with children allows you as an adult to often be a free spirit.

2. I love to snorkel. Let's just say I love the water.

3. Favorite place on earth is to be on a cruise in the Caribbean. As a child I remember watching James A. Michners "Adventures in Paradise." I love "Rum Point" in the Cayman Islands and Cancun on the Mexican Riviera.

4. I want to return to Xcaret what I call a Mexican Seaworld. This park is awesome with coquina rock caverns where you can swim with the fishes. I saw a huge sea turtle there and a clown fish about 3 foot long and about 18 inches in diameter. I came around the corner of one of those caverns and literally bumped into this fish. It literally took my breath away! LOL!

5. I am the oldest of eight children and enjoy "family gatherings" which are normally every ten years due to all of us being everywhere.

6. I am a frugal person probably due to coming from a large family. I clip coupons and try to obtain codes while internet shopping.

7. In my working life since I have an aptitude for math was a General Manager, Controller (ten times over) and Operations Analyst in Hotel/Motel/Timesharing Condominiums. Since my working life lacked "color" (figures all day long and Excel), I believe that's why I love vivacious color schemes.

The Blue Blue Sea-Quickpage Collection Freebie Day1

I hope that you liked the star & polka bikinis. Just a little something I had on hand. August is my birthday month. I'll try to have a Download-A-Day for the entire month so make sure that you visit often. There will be a Hybrid Album coming up this month.

I have a collection of Quick pages in 8x8 format that can be easily re sized to 12x12 if so desired. This Collection is called "The Blue Blue Sea." My favorite color is aqua so I had a lot of fun working with all of the "water colors". Once again I love whimsy and couldn't resist using Jannidee's kit "Under the Sea" for some elements and papers. As the collection continues, you will see my Caribbean water colors thanks to a beautiful style that I obtained at Ladyoak.

Hubby is doing much better but "he is home all day". Need I say more? LOL.

Polka Dot Bikinis Freebie

I totally forgot that I had completed the "Polka Dot Bikini Set"! This is a fun set of star and polka dot bikinis for your summer layouts. I have included daisies and stars for you to decorate your bikini.

Finally the antibiotic kicked in after 3 days and some of DH's leg swelling is going down! I feel much better today about the entire episode.

I'm going to remove some of the "Oldest Freebies." They are now 1 year old and I'd like to think my creations have improved over the past year.

Just a Note to say Everything is Better

Thanks so much for all the words of wishing my DH well. After three days of Doctors and tests, it has been determined he has dermatitis cellulitus. He'll be off work for at least two weeks and prescribed a powerful antibiotic. This AM I thought when we went to the Vascular Surgeon DH would be hospitalized but not so. The Physician felt he did not need IV antibiotics at this time. I need to take digital pictures each day and email to their office. He felt that he would be more comfortable at home. Thank you for your prayers and concern.

I'll try to have a new brag book page up for you tomorrow. I have three pages completed due to some nervous energy on Monday. Tuesday I was unnerved and took Sally's advice and went to http://thecutestblogontheblock.com and thoroughly redid this blog and Nore's Niche. Pop on over to the Niche and look at the new face lift.

Froggy Love Brag Book Album - Day 11 Freebie

I can't believe this is the last day of Froggy Love! I thoroughly enjoyed creating these brag book pages. If the image put a smile on your face, made you giggle or just grin, then I accomplished my mission. Thanks to all of you for the fantastic comments on 4shared and the blog.

Sorry I put this up late by a day. My husband came home from work yesterday his leg was swollen and blood vessels had ruptured under the skin. We were going to go to the ER last night but after talking to my daughter (BSN) we decided to go to our primary care physician today. The area keeps getting bigger so off to the Doctors this AM.

We had a wonderful day at Aquatica with all the Grandchildren. I actually had to take a nap while we were there to revitalize. I did go on rides that I considered hopefully safe. This old girl needs to be more careful these days since I seem to get hurt more often. It's just so hard when they say "Grandma please go on this ride with me". I can't even count the number of times we went on raging rapids and the wave pool. We closed the park at 9:50PM with two finale rides on the family tubes. The two seven year olds and ten year old and I went on that ride. I must say though I was wiped out Sunday. Those stairs are quite a cardio workout! It seemed all I did was cook and cleanup. Kim decided to go shopping at the outlet mall for back to school shopping so after I made a late lunch they left at 4PM and then I had to start dinner for my husband getting home at 6PM. I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend! But still tired today! LOL!

I'll have another download-a-day hopefully starting tomorrow. I'm going to try to post the next three days as auto posts since I need to go to Gainesville tomorrow through Thursday to watch over the children. Joey is a guidance counselor and starts the pre-enrollment for new students.
